The National Aptitude Test is conducted by National Institute of Advanced Studies in Architecture (NIASA) for admission to undergraduate courses in Architecture. So, If You should have passed class 12th with Mathematics as a subject or done diploma from a recognized University With atleast 50% aggregate marks in 12th or in diploma, then You are Eligible for NATA Entrance Examinations. NATA runs continuously throughout the year, usually on working days. The dates available for NATA is as per each Test Centre. Candidates may request Test Centers for the preferred dates. If the candidate is available for NATA only on a particular date (or range of dates) that a particular Test Centre is not able to give, the candidate may register at any other Test Centre throughout India that is able to supply that date / time for NATA exam. The candidate may take NATA any number of times subject to availability of appointment at the Test Centers. However, full fees will have to be paid for every new attempt for NATA exam. The mark list will show the average of marks scored by the candidate in his last attempt and his previous valid score of NATA exam. Candidate applying to any school/college of architecture in India should have achieved 40% score in the total NATA score that is atleast 80 marks out of 200 marks. NATA examination which consist of two parts, measures aptitude of the candidate in his / her aesthetic sensibilities (3D visualisation, logical understanding, etc.) and drawing skills, that are in-built in every candidate and developed right from childhood to the present day. NATA paper is based on drawing test which is of two hours duration and computer based online aesthetic sensitivity test is of one hour. Computer based test of NATA will be given only after completing the Paper based test. The drawing aptitude test is judged on the following aspects - Sense of perspective drawing, Understanding of scale and proportions etc. In the aesthetic sensitivity test the candidate has to answer 40 multiple choice questions. The test measures Analytical reasoning, Architectural awareness, Imaginative comprehension and expression etc. The score cards of NATA exam will be available on its official website in e-format. It will be updated in its website on your fourth day of your NATA exam. Drawing and Observation is Most Important skill required to clear NATA. |
